About ESL Software

The ESL Software suite of programs is managed and supported by:

John G Pearce (one of the original authors of ESL) - for the core ESL Software - the ESL language and its simulation engine

Ryllan J E Kraft - for software development - in particular for the ESL-Studio development environment.

ESL Software was born as a result of a series of successful research contracts undertaken for the European Space Agency (ESA) in the early 1980's at Salford University through Salford University Business Services Limited.

In 1992 ISIM International Simulation Limited was formed by the late John L Hay to continue supporting and enhancing the ESL Software and offer training and consultancy. It has been involved in a number of industrial and academic projects.

In 2025 ISIM International Simulation Limited transferred rights in the ESL Software to the individuals mentioned above, who continue its development and support.
